Yesterday, 5th of May, Japan celebrated Children’s Day or Kodomo no Hi. It’s a day when they celebrate the happiness of children and express gratitude to mothers. As early as April, people put up Koinobori or carp-shaped wind socks that are traditionally hung on a pole, making the carps appear like they’re swimming. Visit the hashtag page, and you’ll see how else the Japanese can get creative when celebrating this special holiday.
